Our Place on the Bay...
offers many
forms of recreation and entertainment onsite - ping-pong tables, crochet sets,
horseshoes, darts, board games, guest Jacuzzi, grills and
outdoor fryers, wetland bird watching, campfires and story-telling,
biking, fishing, and shell hunts make up your day of fun and good health
in the warm sun and cool waters of our bay.
Perfect launch for
kayaking, sailing, and windsurfing!
Chart your course to an
infinite variety of of activities and sights! Sandy gulf beaches,
historical homes, old cemeteries, museums, art galleries, shell shops, old
Spanish missions, birding hot spot, wildlife preserves and guided
hunting/fishing trips! Kite flying and sandcastle building have also
become very popular activities.

Parks & Recreation -
Nature Lovers & Family
Live Oak City Park is a 90 acre park off of Sherry St. about 2.5 miles
from Our Place on the Bay. It contains an 18 hole
Disc Golf course, lighted
Tennis & Basketball courts, lighted
baseball field, suitable soccer field, picnic area, playground,
Nature
Hiking and Biking trails and a
Fresh Water Pond stocked with fish.
Cove Park is only 1.5 miles from Our Place and offers free
public boat ramp access, lighted fishing pier,
picnic area, wetland mitigation area
and an asphalt hiking and biking trail that has a great view of Corpus
Christi Bay.
Faith Park is near Ingleside Jr. High and High School - not far -
includes a public swimming pool, the Hildegard Schmidt Garden Center and a
small park bordering the swimming pool. The park area includes swings,
benches, barbecue pits, and a basketball court. The
swimming pool operates throughout the
summer months. No restrooms on site.
The
Whitney Lake Project began as a drainage project and has evolved into
a Nature Tourist’s dream. This 50+ acre includes several
bird watching areas for viewing Great Blue Heron,
Roseate Spoonbills, Snowy Egrets, American Oyster Catchers, waterfowl and
wading birds. The docks
extend over marsh areas and there are several observation platforms for
watching the native wildlife in Ingleside.
